Hi!
I'm hoping someone has some helpful suggestions for dealing with mast cell tumors. My 10 1/2 year old greyhound/lab mix had a small tumor removed 6 years ago, but she's recently grown a new tumor. The problem is it's really close to where the previous one was, but this one is much larger. It's on her front leg by her knee. There's not really much we can do surgically because of it's location and the amount of tissue that was removed 6 years ago. I really don't think she'd be happy with an amputation, I know I wouldn't want that for her. I don't want her to lose her leg, and I don't want to lose her. I'm devastated. She's not in pain, yet. Thanks

Hi- Can anyone tell me about greyhounds. We are seriously thinking of adopting one from the midwest where a track is closing. I have heard they are couch potatoes, very sweet and may need lots of patience to become "real dogs" after their lonely existence at the track. Anything anyone would like to share or advice? Thanks
Roxanne
