What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
Golden Retriever - more red coated than Gold.
I have always had dogs and cats in my adult life. I have lost so many precious pets, the last one being my beautiful Golden - Goldwave Braw Laddie aka Lachlan (Lockie). He crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 2007, one month before his 10th birthday. I have 3 grown, married children, and 3 grandchildren. I love teaching them about caring for pets, and love of animals - any kind. I am retired now, older and arthritic !! ... one of my main joys is creating lovely images of animals in Paint Shop Pro - an image and graphics programme on my PC. Good luck to you all and God Bless you and your beloved pets. Annie.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
Just about everything. The way one is greeted each day after being out. The cuddling they tend to do, especially when they know you are upset.
The faithfulness of a dog. If only we could learn more from them (everybody that is), the world would be so much a better place.
Do you have a website or personal page (such as on Facebook or MySpace) that you'd like to share with other members of our community?
Thanks to all for comments on my puppy pile-up. Our Golden Retriever Murphy Brown had "7 liddle pubbies" - that's what I used to tell her she'd been a good girl having. So sadly, Murphy died of a rare cancer, 5 years back now. Her son Lachlan we kept (he was born not breathing, and I saved him giving him mouth to mouth resus.) We lost him to cancer also, almost 1 year ago. But photo's like this one - a one off snap, are beautiful to keep and be reminded of happier times. thanks again all ..... Hugs, Annie.
