Beth commented on James Jacobson's blog post How big is little?
"I understand what you mean. However, the coyote incident could not have been anticipated by anyone. We live in a nice suburb and have a securely fenced yard, which is always gated and locked. I still can't imagine how the coyote got into the…"

"And, then, there is my little Shih Tzu who held a coyote at bay until we could get to him. Our bigger dog was standing alongside little Max, clearly amazed at what he saw. Of course, I scooped both of them up and took them inside while calling for…"

Beth commented on James Jacobson's blog post Thank you to the dog trainers on IRememberLove
"I also recommend classes - for Kanga and you! My other recommendation is a harness that would properly support her and not result in any discomfort around her neck. And, let me tell you that an older dog is one of the greatest trainers you can find…"

Beth commented on James Jacobson's blog post One Year Anniversary of Maui's Passing
"Our Maggie has been gone since September 3, 2005, and we remember her and cherish her every day. You never forget love. We have Mr. Jiggs, who is 10, and Max, 4, and we love them dearly. Every dog we have had will never leave us, really, and we will…"

Profile Information

What are your dog(s) names and ages:
Mr. Jiggs, Clumber Spaniel mix, 10 years old; Max, Shih Tzu, 2 yrs old
About Me:
I am a retired consultant whose current, and forever, career is to be a homemaker and a doggie mom. Dogs have been a huge part of my life from when I was a toddler. My family had Shepherds, Collies, Pekingese, one beautiful part wolf, and my sister was a white poodle. I really know dogs. My husband loves our dogs as much as I do: we have a very happy, closeknit pack. We love to do things as a family, including local animal events and traveling in our motor home, the Dog Haus.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
Both my dogs communicate with my husband and I in meaningful ways. I have had illnesses and Mr. Jiggs, especially, looks out for me and worries that I might need things, including love and attention and the sweetest smile you have ever seen. When we adopted little Max, Jiggs taught him everything he needs to know. I see such loving care in their relationship. It empowers me to be as much as I can be. I love them so.

Beth, you sound like such a wonderful animal lover. I feel the same way you do but my husband doesn't want us to get any more dogs after my little goes. I told him I always want to have a dog. We used to have two Yorkies until Puddin' died at 16 years old. I wish my husband would love having dogs as much as yours does. That's the kind of life I'd like to have with my doggies! Don't get me wrong, he loves Tinker and Tinker sure loves him, but he just doesn't want the responsibility anymore. Have a great day!
