I have always loved music. I started collecting records back when there were 45 r.p.m. discs with the big hole in the middle. Still owning a rather good sized collection of these ditties of the 1950s through the 1960s, I also have a turntable on which to play them.
Rudy would see me slow-dancing to some of these old "Doo-Whop" songs and come begging for me to pick him up. So, I started slow dancing with him. Of course, he weighing only 10 pounds, his feet never have to touch the floor. He grew to love it so much that everytime I would stop to change the record and put him down, when he would hear the music start again, he would come rushing back......standing on his hind legs and begging to be picked up so he could dance with me again.

On Ash Wednesday, March 6th, 2019, Rupert passed away. He had the same heart problem that Rudy had; too big a heart. I will be missing him sorely until we meet again at Rainbow Bridge. He was the happiest, sweetest dog of all! He is the last dog I will ever have and I will love him forever. Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord......

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All of the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we rememver them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behindl.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then, you cross Rainbow Bridge together......

He was well loved. I hope he will be waiting for me on the other side, in Heaven. I know he was good enough to be made an Angel. Now he is young and healthy again. I will not forget him until I see him again. I love you, Rudy!
