To all my fellow fur baby lovers

Hello everyone - I am just beginning to feel like myself somewhat. I lost one of my beloved Chihuahuas, Tanzy, on December 14th. And a few days after that, his favorite playmate, Kiwi, became ill and remains in a fight for her life. She showed some progress today - but suffice it to say that the past two months have been very hard.

I miss my baby Tanzy every day. He was such a tiny boy - all two pounds of him. So tiny. He died in my arms after suffering with heart disease for…

I have a 2x2 now since Tanzy passed; 2 boys, 2 girls. the pic of this black sweetheart is my lifetime boy, Gizmo. He and I share a very special bond - like nothing I have ever experienced before. This Friday, I go to the vet for my Kiwi - she will have a blood test and I will know if she is getting any better. For now, she has quality time. I will keep you posted - and I am glad we "met".

I haven't lost any of my chi's yet and I don't know how I will manage when I do. They are the most wonderful little girls. I have only had one other dog about 30 years ago and she was a cocker spaniel and she passed while we were away. I have been married for almost 30 years now and I can truely say that my little girls are one of the best things in my life. I have had very hard times with an older son and I held on to my blue merle very tightly and she really helped me during that pain. I really love my little girls. I have been a house with all boys and seems like the bond between my girls and me is special.

i too would have a house full of them. with 5 now - its pretty nice. they all have unique personalities. i lost one last year and for months the house felt positively empty. but she was needed at the rainbow bridge to keep her favorite son company. my exhusband's dog rocky was taken by a coyote several years ago. he was my dogs favorite puppy when she had the only litter she ever had - all 5 of them. now they are healthy and running and playing up there. but - i still think of her and miss her. she was a rescue dog - i got her through the people i bought gizzy from - they had sold her to this guy who had about 8 chis - all with biblical names - but they were left to fend for themselves!!! all he cared about was getting puppies from them!!! so i adopted her - she took to me right away and since she was related to my gizmo - 8 months younger with a different father, it was easy. she was with me for too short a time - but the time was wonderful.

Texas is great...We moved here 2 years ago from Louisiana after the hurricaine. We absolutely love it here...a little hot in the summer but so much better than Louisiana. I thought my little Chi was small at 4 lbs ! I could have a dozen.I find myself looking at the rescue web sites thinking...hmm ..what's one more ?

This little chihuahua here is about 3 years old. He was my daughter's dog. She brought him home in her purse. He was 1 lb. He is now my dog as she went to college and couldn't take him with her. I adopted another dog from from a rescue group here in Texas that is a mixed Chihuahua. He is awsome and they are best friends. I live North of Dallas. It has been very hot here. ..over 100 for several days.
I used to Have a " Gizzy " too. She was a peek. I can't imagine life without my babies !
My brother lives in AZ..Peoria..He tells me how hot it is there ! I was htere in April and it was hot then !
