HI Gwen, I was thinking about you this morning and wondered how Lucy is doing? I hesitate to ask if it is bad news, but I would like you to know, you anre still in my prayers.

Yes I agree---cancer is a nasty disease. I hate it. It took most of my family and my fur baby and a couple of friends.

I only have one piece of advice for you and Lucy---just love her while you can. It is so important for both of you. God Bless

Gwen, It is such a hard thing to go through, as I'm sure you know. To watch and feel helpless as our companion's already short life (compared to ours) is shortened more so by cancer. I, too, am praying that it's not quite time for Lucy to leave you and that you can keep her comfortable for whatever time she has left. Let me know if you need anything.

Oh Gwen, I am so sorry. I was hoping she would have longer. I can't tell you when you will know, all I know is that you will. She will look at you in a certain way, or the pain will get too much and she will just go down and not have the strentgh to get up. That is what happened to Bailey. I will pray for your peace, and I will pray for a miracle. I'm here if you need me.

It's the hardest thing we will ever do---love our babies and know they won't be with us long. I will pray for you both.

Oh Gwen, I am so sorry. I don't really know what to say. When Bailey was diagnosed, we thought we might have a chance to save him with the amputation. He lived 5 months after that. Most of which was good quality. The last 2 or 3 weeks were tough, we watched him become more and more unsteady on his feet, and he finally fell and broke the left front leg. There was no more we could do since that leg had been shattered when he was hit by a car 5 years earlier. I will miss that boy until the day I die.
I don't know if you have researched diet, but by your message, It sounds like you have. I learned what Cancer liked and didn't like and went with that. The rest was alot of prayer and I just loved him with everything I had. I think he understood and was grateful. Unfortunately, Osteosarcoma (dirty word) is the most agressive and hardest to treat cancer there is. I would find a good Holistic vet if I had to do it over again. Modern medicine is geared towards drugs and surgery and that doesn't seem to work well with this cancer.
I will add you to my prayer list. I know that Bailey responded better to an upbeat attitude. He would almost get depressed if I got too teary-eyed around him, so I tried not to do that. I actually think that we could have had longer with him had he survived the winter, but the cold and dampness got to him. He slipped on our icy deck on Christmas morning and we put him down January 9th.
I am so sorry. Please keep me up to date with how you are doing and give her a smooch for me.
