Buster: he's a year and three months old.
What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
Buster is a Border Collie/Springer Spaniel Mix
About Me:
I love to go for walks in the park with Buster when I get the chance after a long day after school. I also enjoy singing, crafts, swimming, kayaking, white water rafting, and camping. I can be a total clepto when it comes to books and anything that pertains to the ocean or travel.lol.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
That cute look he gives me with his head cocked to one side. lol

Hello Heather,
I started out in the Coast Guard, than became a marine machinery technician for the Army Reserves... Did my 20 years than had an NDE and am medically retired. Became a volunteer Chaplain, then I than purchased a lot in VA; cleared away the brush, and now can see the lighthouse from my picture window...
Oh, and the guy who cleared it for me, was in my Army unit the day of my event! Things happen for a reason, I think.
Peace, Roland

Ever thought how H.M.S. can mean: "Her Majesty's Ship?" Just came down and found your chat on 'The Rig'! That Handsome Dog next to me is my Doctor! We ought to get him involved with this, eh?
Keep Up The Cheer!

Hi heather, I see you're an ocean buff. Do you live near the ocean? I live in the middle of the country but about once a year try to go somewhere to go scuba diving. Iove the ocean and love sharks. hope to see a great white some day but so far just reef sharks and nurse sharks.

But right now my doggies keep me pretty busy. I don't get on the computer to play a whole lot. If i'm not working at the animal shelter i am actually doing medical transcription on the computer so have little time to play on the computer, but hope to have time to check in on everyone and here about your doggy and the ocean. Watch that klepto business. Big brother is watching...

Hi Heather! Welcome to Remember Love. I'm pretty new at this site too. Infact, you are the first person I've commented to. I recieved an e mail stating that you added me as a friend. I'm not on here EVERY day, but I do check to see if anyone wanted to be "my friend." Guess what, I'll be your friend. What kind of dog do you have? I have a yellow lab golden retriver mix. He is my baby. If you can get into my photos, you can see how much fun we have...when I'm able. I've had Sabastian for 3 years now. I never wanted a dog, altho I love them. I've always had guinea pigs. They are so cute and loveable (to me). I got a new landlord, he moved upsairs from me. He worked and left Sabby alone 8 to 10 hours a day. I never knew Mike had a dog (Sabby never barked). One day I went out on the front porch and there was Mike and Sabby. Sabby wanted a drink of my water (he drank the whole bottle). Sabby and I shook hands and we gave each other a kiss. Well, from that moment on, we became friends. I would dog sit for Mike, but when he would come home from work Sabby would go over to the door to greet Mike then come back and sit right by my side. Sabby would eventually leave, about 20 minutes of coaxing him, but he would hang his head and walk really slow (like pouting). This went on for a month and a half. Mike needed to move to Florida right away (family matters) and asked me if I would take Sabby. I said no everytime he asked me. I didn't want the expense of a dog, picking up doggyy do do, vet bills, bathing him (100 lbs. of dynomite), etc., etc., etc,. Sabastian would run to my door every morning and jump on it and bark until I'd come out (before he even did doggy duty). I finally said I would take him. I had to give up my piggys because I'm on SSI and can't afford both animals. Sabby loved my piggys. They would play together all the time. I have pics of them in my pictures too. So, that id how I got Sabby. He was 4 when I got him. He LOVES the snow. It's raining and snowing right now as I write this. The leaves are turned beautiful in my area (N.Y.). It's in the 40's, chilly. I love the four seasons, I wouln't live anywhere else. I tried Florida about 6 years ago. I sold everthing I owned to move there to start a "new life." I lasted 4 months. I couldn't stand the heat, rain, bugs. It rained everyday at 2:00 when I had to walk to work. I always looked like I took a shower with my clothes on everyday when I got to work. It was frustrating. I couldn't wait to get back to New York. So here I am. Well, Heather, I don't know what else to write about, so I guess I'll let you go for now. You take care and I hope you write back to me. Bye Bye for now. Do you like Sabastian smiling for the camera? He's a blast!

Today is going great. Molly and Leroy hated leaving the mountains. But they have one more time to enjoy it, then we stay home for the Winter. Funny to watch them run around and chase each other, steal each others toys and bones. Lil Stinkers!

I am so glad you joined. Buster is such a sweet baby. He needs to have a place where his mommy can brag about him, and hear stories about other animal lovers.
Thanks for joining
Love, Mom.
