I absolutely love dogs. Unconditional love is given every single day. I am a walker and nothing is better than walking with my dog Abigail. I love photography, music (classical, contemporary and alternative), and gardening.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
When she knows I am upset and she seeks me out and tries to "make it better" with cuddles and kisses.

Judi, I'm so sorry about Abby...is she the little white dog in the picture? What kind of dog is she? She looks precious.
You will know when it is time...I just had to go thru that with my little Sadie. She died Aug 11, 2009. I struggled praying she would die on her own, but in the end, I had to make that decision. As painful as it was, I knew it was time and you will know too. Do you have any other dogs? They never replace the baby you lost, but they are such a comfort. The dog in my picture is Zoe and she is almost 5. Thank God for her. She has helped me so much. She seems to understand when I am so lonely for Sadie. You and Abby are in our prayers.

When I got her, the breeder said she'd be no larger than 10-11 pounds - wrong - she ranges between 17 and 17.5 lbs. She obviously took after her dad. Look for updated photos to follow in the near future - then you'll see her fully grown. I was caught a bit off guard at the popularity of this site and folks asking about Abby. A miniature is I believe larger than a toy - Abby's mother was so tiny and her dad was a very muscular male Westie. She has longer legs like a poodle, a snout like a poodle and a tail like a poodle - not as long as the Westie. She has the stance of a Westie and her "hair" is like the Westie - not as curly as the Poodle - but there are curls here and there. No shedding - love that! The only thing that gets to me is her bark! It's that high-pitched loud bark. Drives me nuts - but she's such a good and smart dog otherwise - picks up new commands almost instantly. She was house broken in 2 days. She's a handful at times - lots of energy!
