Our dogs are Boomer and Dottie. My husband and I adopted both of them last year. We are so glad we did. They are amazing. Last February, I had to put my beloved 14 year old Maltese Susie to sleep. It is so hard when you have to give back to God. And Boomer and Dottie are with us. They are three and two years old respectively.
What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
Boomer is a terrier mix. He is our friendly little guy. Dottie is a Shitsu/Terrier mix. She is full of mischief. Both of them make us laugh all the time.
We absolutely love animals. We were married on October 2nd, 2009.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
Unconditional love. Boomer and Dottie are so loveable and they remind me that I am loveable even when I am grumpy or when I don't feel good.
Susie taught me that whatever happened, we would always be okay because we were together. For a few years with my time with Susie, my life was falling apart around me and our bond was one of the few things that kept me going. So she was more than a dog to me. I think at times, she was my hero.
