Profile Information

What are your dog(s) names and ages:
My doggy's name is FLASH...not pete. Pete is just a talented little Jack Russell that I fell in love with on Youtube. So my littel Jack Russell's name is FLASH
What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
Jack Russell.......sweet baby boy
About Me:
My name is Kathie. I own a Jack russell that just turned 2 years old. He was given to us by a young man who could not keep him. he was 12 weeks old. I can never repay him enough for allowing us to take this sweet little boy. He is our pride and joy. He is loving and sweet. He loves everyone. I am married with 1 daughter. She is in the picture with our dog. I also have 2 step daughters. One is having a baby in August.
I coach all star cheerleading and have done this for the past 9 years. Check out my myspace and you can see more of my flash baby and my family and cheerleading team.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
He loves everyone. No matter who they are. Sometimes we forget to love one another and my little man reminds us all the time we need to love everyone no matter who or what they are,
Do you have a website or personal page (such as on Facebook or MySpace) that you'd like to share with other members of our community?

Not at all! I'm happy to share. Flash is a beauty and I understand your love for him. I've had two distinctly different health issues with my two JRTs. Cosmo, male, 12, has had allergies which are helped with a half benadryl. His greater issue is that his body produces calcium oxylate stone in his bladder which both irritates the bladder but can also get lodged in the urethra if not treated. He had a traditional surgery the first time, but when he developed the stones a second time I took him to Univ of MN for a procedure which disolves the stones with a laser and they can then be flushed out without any cutting. He had this done twice and is now on a prescription diet of Canine U/D which seems to be working. Lucy, female, 9yrs old, had a mild case of Addison's brought on by stress when she was boarded and got a parisitic infection. She had multiple episodes of syncope (basically passing out) and lost an enormous amount of weight. While prednisone was the initial treatment, we have moved to a more holistic treatment using diet including SoJo (a raw dehydrated food you rehydrate), yogurt and pumpkin. She is gaining weight and returning to her spunky, mischievous self. These two dogs mean the world to me, they were there in the worst and best of times and never failed to show their love and their wonderful sense of humor! Best dogs, ever.
