Hi Lynne, The requirements for pet therapy are much more strict than here. Jake will be registered with Therapy Dogs Inc, which is nationwide in the USA. I also plan to take the Delta Society training with him which I understand is more strict and known as the "cadilac pet therapy program" here. That class is being held this September. We also are starting an agility class this fall. I am looking forward to that also. I know he will enjoy that too. Keep in touch, as will I. Vickie
Scared of her shadow describes April perfectly - with anyone but me. But she'll muster up some courage if someone has a nice chewy treat. Chelsea was a standoffish type girl, err, correction, standoffish tomboy, but not frightened of people.
April and I just got back from a trip to Southern ON. Spent a fair bit of time visiting my Dad in a convalescent home in Owen Sound. All the seniors there who met April wanted to keep her with them. Even as shy as she is, I think she did some good during her visits. It would have been nice to see her open up to them like your Dallas, but I don't think that will happen.
Thank you for your comments left for Chelsea and April.
Hey Lynne, glad to have you in my sheltie club. I like you, love all dogs, but Shelties are my love. Jake, My 1 1/2 year old are getting ready to start pet therapy. I should receive my paper work this week. I am very excited. He never meets a stranger, and I think it would be fun and rewarding to share this spectial little guy. Will post more pics soon. Keep in touch. Vickie
