What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
I work as a veterinary technician and have learned to love and appreciate many different kinds of animals. My dog Maggie taught me unconditional love, friendship, enthusiasm, responsibility, and gave me the power to let go of her when it was time. I had the privilege of being her friend and helper for 12 years before she passed on.
I also have a husband and 2 beautiful children, and I'm glad I had Maggie first, because she taught me so much about love and responsibility that I believe she helped make me a better mother, wife, and friend.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
Well, she always had kisses for me even after she'd been scolded for getting into the trash, and every day when she was still able to jump up on the bed, she'd wake me and my husband with kisses on our faces. She always scolded us a little for leaving her home alone with the cats, but we were quickly forgiven.
Reann, I'm sorry I didn't know that Maggie had died.
You have my sympathy..I know what a loss it must have been for you.
We lost a beloved cat a few years ago and my husband and I cried for days!
I had to wear sunglasses to work.
Raeann, thank you so much! I may have to let the vet administer the drops to my dog. Your dog is precious..:) Thanks for the advice..if we find we have to do it, I will follow it to the letter! Again, thanks.. I do appreciate your input. Anne
