I really enjoyed looking at the video about your dogs and "sharks". (Do you really have sharks in the inland waters where I assume you made the video?) My German Shepherds Chance, Daphne, and Ryan really like to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. I usually take a ball with me and they love to chase the ball when I throw it into the water. I do not worry too much about sharks since they do not go out too far. They do go out over their heads though. I am always concerned about sting rays though. They are very numerous in the Gulf. I live about 15 miles from the Gulf so it is easy for me to travel there.
I had to look to see where Tacoma is located. I did not know it was so near to Seattle. I have made one trip (flying) to Seattle in the 1990's and really enjoyed my visit. I got to travel by bus to Mt. Rainer. I had no idea that the forest would be so beautiful. I liked the valleys leading up to the forest too.
I think it is a wonderful idea to get two dogs at one time that are litter mates. My older dogs, Chance and Daphne are brother and sister. That is the best way to have a pair of dogs. I brought in another German Shepherd when my dogs were eight years old. His name is Ryan. He is a male and Chance still controls him all of the time. Frankly, Chance is a little rough on Ryan. It was a lot easier to raise two litter mates than bringing in another puppy.
I wish I knew how to place videos on the web like you did. I have a video camera but have never read the instruction book in regard to placing videos anywhere.
I have not looked at your other videos. I will look soon.
Russ, Thanks for the nice comment about Rudy's photo which I called "Rudy at Bedtime". I thought the photo showed off his pretty blond hair. I took the photo with a Nikon D 70. I added a Nikon flash (I think it is a SB600) to add light to the hair. In my experience the quality of Rudy's hair does not show up well unless you add quite a large amount of light. I usually shoot a Nikon F6 but I have not used it for dog photos. It is too easy to work with my digital camera for photos like the one I posted. Carlton Laing
Such great photography skills. I wish mine would sit still long enough for pictures. Many times I got a piece of a tail, nose or foot because they were just too fast. You have such talent and some beautiful babies.
welcome to I remember love, I love your dogs!! My boys are brothers, but 4 years apart. Also joined at the hip and best friend. Bo will be 9 in Sept., Bart will be 4 in July. Bart has kept Bo young!!! Aren't they the best???
didnt realize you responded to my "bad dog vs Good dog". thanks for your response. I am going to the local SPCA which has some very sweet larger dogs. I am not sure If I am ready to be around a pit bull yet. Dont get me wrong. I know the dog was doing what it was taught but I need some time to heal. My daughter also knows someone with a pitbull. I will try and visit it when this fear isnt so raw. I think the SPCA said they have a resident lab, golden mix. It owned by one of the staff. I know I could warm up to that puppy...lol
