What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.)
Australian Shepherd (tri-black)
I am an animal lover, but are we not all on this site? I am the type of person that cries when I see those WWF, SPCA commercials or just abandoned or stranded animals in weather stricken or war-torn areas.
I believe one of my purposes in life is to be here for animals, even if it is to feed the chickadee I hear outside my window or to smile at and pet or smile at a dog that looks sad.
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
Thor has this wonderful way of dancing when I get home from a long, hard day at work. He bounces around in circles, looking up at me with so much joy.
Thor has a slightly larger than normal doggie heart (asymptomatic at this time, thankfully) and I truly believe that it is so he can carry all the love he has. My life has changed because of him - my dark days not so dreary, my good days filled with so much more light and joy.
On occasion we will be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden we turn to each other and just look in to each other's eyes. We share our love through a look, a touch, a shared laugh (oh yes, he laughs a big open mouthed puppy-dog laugh!).
He is my boy, my joy, my Thor.
Do you have a website or personal page (such as on Facebook or MySpace) that you'd like to share with other members of our community?

Ragga Muffin is a girl I will have to let her see the pictures of your Thor. I also have two Yorkshire Terriers (just lost two others). Muffin is to rough with the others so she really only has humans to play with. She has been getting kinda rough with us to lately.
I am so happy for you. and Thor. There is nothing better than sharing the love of an animal. We have many here on the farm, different breeds as well as horses and cats too of course. My grandchildren love coming out to the farm, we keep busy here and our youngest son lives with us and works the farm with us as well as working outside training and showing horses for clients. My husband has retired and works harder now than evere. So much for the easy life, hahaha...we love it though, would not ever be with out our animals.
Sandra and Thor,
Hi, what a handsome boy you are, I have a black and white boy named Teddy Bear,(Aussie) and his bride, Shiloh, a red merle. They have a lovely family of 4 boys and 2 girls. What a bundle of energy they are. Good thing we have alot of room out here on the farm. I do enjoy having my dogs and horses around me,
they give more than we can give back to them.
Sandra, Thor is beautiful! You are so lucky to have him. I am like you, I get all emotional over those animal commercials. I only wish that I could adopt more! I definitely have room in my heart for them! Goldie says, "Hello" to Thor!
