What are your dog(s) names and ages:: Harry Potter & Gorby

What is your dog's breed? (If you have more than one dog, please list a name followed by breed.): Gorby is Cocker Spaniel, don't know if English or American
Harry..good question...I don't know but for me the best breed ever!

About Me:: I'm an editor and an ELT teacher and teacher trainer. I love animals and nature...but dogs are the best in this life. I have a wonderful sister who loves animals and dogs as well. My parents are dog lovers as well. We live in Mexico City with our wonderful Harry Potter and Gorby a tiny old but loyal black Cocker Spaniel. Harry Potter is a mutt. I don't know which breeds he's a mix of, but he deserves to be considered as the finest dog of the world. Life has not been the same since dogs have been part of this family.

What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?: When I get home and both Harry Potter and Gorby bark, and greet me. Harry, who is younger jumps, cries, stand on his back legs and waits till you reach him and gives you cute doggy kisses...that's love, isn't it?

Just Harry...

Harry has been very active lately. He decided that apart from being my mother's only love...he has to show that he deserves such love.
So he has been a nice, obedient dog! amazing cause he's so spoiled that sometimes he doesn't do what he's supposed to do.
But that has changed in the last two months..he's being nice, gentle and playful as usual but a bit more obedient.
He's growing up (finally! LOL!) and maybe he realised that he has to behave as a proper and adult dog! (LOL!)

Easter time

Easter is a time to reflect for the ones we feel like doing it, for others is just holidays, for others is just another time of the year...but at least is a good time to share at least some love with other humans and their pets...do we know anybody aroudn us who need help or help for his or her pet?

A day in the life of...Harry Potter

Well, I don't know how to start blogging about a silly dog that is the ANGEL of my life, but he's just a remarkable dog...

I can't say say I'm a remarkable dog owner but Harry has taught me important lessons in life.

He's the perfect dog...he loves you, he cuddles up with you, he gives u pup kisses when needed, he can be naughty and stubborn...I guess intelligent dogs are stubborn...they want to have their own way.

He was 12 years old and very sick. I miss him dearly. He was born in Mexico City and was flown in a private jet 12 years ago.
He was a gift. I'm trying to locate the girl who gave me Rio as she has moved back to Mexico. We lost communication just recently after years of me sending Christmas cards w/pics of Rio and my other Maltese. I had always let her know when Rio was sick. Now, that he passed away on June 28, 2008 I can't find any means of locating her to let her know what happened.

Some 20+ years ago I was an ESL teacher, then an ESL teacher trainer and then life took a funny turn and away I went down a very different path. So, are you Mexican or gringa living in Mexico? In my second year of college I threw myself down to Mexico to start learning Spanish. lived 5 months in Guanajuato, which was both tough (avoided all English-speakers) and wonderful. Suspiro :-)
