About Me:
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
My young and rambunctious standard poodle Amos is so kind and tender to Birga ( age 13), even though she is sometimes cranky.

Heaven's Littlest Shepherd

She's all yours Lord. She's the perfect natural healer and she'll get right under your feet so don't step on her. She will never leave you or deny you, but she doesn't like to be picked up unless she thinks it is her idea.

Give her a broad pasture...just a little bit wild, full of tough and wiley sheep. She'll show her mettle and make her proud you made her. When you see that smile of sheltie satisfaction , you will understand why we miss her so.

Please send her to fetch me when it's my turn, no need to trouble angels of the grander sort. Just send your littlest shepherd, the four legged one...she's right there under your feet.

Dear Dayna, thanks so much for posting on my page. We lost our Louie III last March. He was 15. We now have Ernie Boy (I need to update my pictures). He's 10 months old (cream/white) and we love him so much. We still have Lucy (chocolate lab 10 years) and also Little Miss Tille (wired hair dochsund/terrier mix 4 years old) who we adopted last January. Ernie Boy arrived this past June. We love being a family of 5. My Louie was a soulmate (still is) and my "lifetime" dog. We went through so much together. I love and miss him with a passion. I would like to be a member of the Standards group! I'll try to get my pictures up-to-date. Thanks again. Amos is absolutely beautiful and Birga looks like a total gem. Barbara

Well I'm relieved. Even though you have your work cut out for you keeping a young dog corraled. His youth is in his favor as far as healing ability goes. And when it's all over it will be less than a distant memory to him. good little buddy! And keeps posted.

We just got back from Pablo's neurology appointment. All of his results regarding his spinal tap were negative and his MRI- shows no brain damage. He does have some slight deformation to his spine but apparently, the doctors say that this is common with frenchies. However, he did suffer trauma to his spine- not exactly sure when it happened. It must have been during a jump on the bed or couch which he was used to doing. He is going to have a change in lifestyle. No more running up and down stairs. He needs to be picked up all the time and we need to get doggy steps for the couch and bed. He will be confined to his crate for 4-6 weeks with just enough time to be taken outside to use the bathroom. He must get the rest if he wants to heal according to the doctor's recommendations. He is eating and is gaining his energy back. It is quite scary because he doesn't know the danger he can put himself in because he is used to being so active. We have a long way of rehab and lifestyle changes but anything to see my baby boy back to his normal self. I want to thank you all for your blessings. I truly believe that this would not have been possible without your positive energy and ability to open your heart to us during this time in need. I will be keeping you updated and I am so happy to have found a pet family to go to during the good times and the bad times. Thank you again, words can't express my gratitude. If there is anything that I can help with, please don't hesitate to ask. Big hug from myself and from Pablo.
I do hope and pray that all of you who are going through tough times and don't know if it will get better.....will have faith- put your hands on your pup and through your love and energy you will heal his/her blessed heart/soul!

They say they think it's stenosis but we are still waiting for the culture results from the cerebal spinal fluid to come in. His left leg is very weak and he is not interested in his surroundings, very unlike him. I will keep you posted. Thank you so much for your support.

Dayna, thankyou for your comment, most kind of you. No, not a professional, just someone who's been lucky to get the odd good photo of his favourite subjects. I've got a quite a few of Chelsea, and wish I had more. April's had more than a few photos taken. ;-)

Thanks for joining my group. I am presently hoping to get my Jake, now 1 year old certified for pet therapy. He is such a little joy. I need to soon post updated pics of him. Send some pics of yours. Vickie
