Hello animal lovers,
I joined here recently and ive just added some photos of my cat called Flash. Yes my cat. Are there any more cats here to keep my sweet Flash company? Saying that im sure she'll love to make doggie friends. She's very friendly and homely. She is my dear faithful and always believes in me and knows my deepest senses. I know what James means about that special love he and Maui share. I am going through some changes in my life and it is not easy and she is my… Continue

Saturday has to be my absolute favorite day of the week. Usually there isn't too much that I plan on the week-ends, but this one was a little different.
My borther-in-law and husband love to go to different sales. They are horse sales, but usually have tack and other animals there as well. So, my brother-in-law decides that he will have his own sale today. Understand that this has been in the works for about two months. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, because I have never been to… Continue

My dog Karma is my life. She is a 6 pound, Maltese Shitzu mix and she is completely my world. Karma has recently been feeling badly like she doesnt want to eat or play and when we took her to the vet they gave her antibiotic and said she would be fine. While we were there they took blood to test to make sure everything was ok.
The Vet called me today and has informed me that Karma has something called a shunt which means her blood isnt cleaning her liver, which is slowly killing her.… Continue

I just found this poem and just about busted out in tears. When I was 12, my dog Timmy, the best Cairn Terrier in the WHOLE WORLD died in a car accident.
I swore that he was still with me. I felt his presence for years. I still do, when I think about him - even though I live on the other side of the planet from his little grave, in my parents' backyard in Connecticut.
I'm not sure anyone else in my family quite knew what I was talking about when I said "Timmy's still… Continue

. This was a big day for Rusty. We attended Donway Retirement Home and went through an hour and a half evaluation. It was a gruelling ordeal (for me), but Rusty excelled. He didn't appear to know that he was being tested and just did his own thing. His own thing is to be the most placid creature on the face of the earth; letting absolutely nothing bother him. They threw everything they could his way to phase him. They made loud noises throwing cans on the floor,… Continue

So today is officially my Monday, I was lucky enough to have yesterday off to re-coup from yet another Griswold vacation. In a nutshell (look I'm in a nutshell), it was pretty brutal. Did I mention last week that I have had the lingering creeping crude for weeks now??? Yah, it has been fabulous..so traveling was not high on my list of "to do's". The majority of the trip was good, nice to see Lon's family..especially when it is just a day trip. I will list some mishaps of the trip because we… Continue

Thank goodness the work week is over. There is nothing better than to come home after a long week and spend the week-end relaxing with Zoe lying in my lap. She will usually share with a cat, if the cat insists. When you kick back in the recliner and stretch out your legs that is an open invitation for a good cuddle.
Zoe's favorite part of the week-end is if she gets to take a ride to town with her daddy. She loves to go......doesn't really matter where, just as long as she is along… Continue

As I look over the pictures in the gallery, it brings back all of my childhood memories of the animals I have known. There was my first dog Lucky, a neighbors dog Mr. Jones, there was Tippy across the alley and my best friends dog Candy. Oh so many, many more that I can see but can't quite remember the names of. Cookie, Ginger, Rusty, Bear, Roo, Buffy, Kizzy, Lady, Quicksilver, Larby, Kelly, Lady, Toby ... I could go on and on. Animals have always been a very big part of my life. I can't… Continue

Well, I don't know how to start blogging about a silly dog that is the ANGEL of my life, but he's just a remarkable dog...
I can't say say I'm a remarkable dog owner but Harry has taught me important lessons in life.
He's the perfect dog...he loves you, he cuddles up with you, he gives u pup kisses when needed, he can be naughty and stubborn...I guess intelligent dogs are stubborn...they want to have their own way.
Harry is still a young dog, full of energy and what I… Continue

So anyway, head over to http://www.rlmi.blogspot.com to read up about me. A lot of pictures too for you. And there are going to be updates on Favour (the pariah dog we rescued off the road).
My other blog is a self-proclaimed library. It has a lot of stories written by me, no stealing! But some of them, sadly will never finish without anyone to… Continue

It was bound to happen sooner or later......I finally entered the world of blogging. I have really enjoyed reading a friend of mine's blog and she has inspired me to start my own! Better later than never, I guess.
First a little about the menagerie at my household....which consists of myself, my husband, 1 very spoiled mini doxie, Zoe and 4 black cats, yep 4!
The first one we adopted almost 2 years ago, Ziva.
Then Oct. 2007 2 small kittens appeared in a tree in… Continue

Well, I am in my home office and can hear the snores of both Bella and Charlie..it is officially nap 4 of 6 today. I will be dog sitting Bella (twin sisters dog) until April 4th or so. I have had her here for almost a week and things have been going great. I think Bella digs being here and at the same time misses her mama. I will say that Bella definitely upstages my little puppy often..she is well-mannered, smart, funny and loving dog..Charlie is all those things minus the manners. Although, I… Continue
