I work saving and rescuing animals well I guess there both the same. My services are free of course. Our dear animals DON'T HAVE CHECKING ACCOUNTS...it is so rewarding for me when an animal was healed and ready to be released. I would get birds, racooons, etc wildlife that were hurt the head vet Mary Jane Stretch who started the foundation would repair the injuries with my help or a student ... we would keep them in a cage only if they had to be quiet until they healed. Others that came in… Continue

The rest of my time are given in taking good care of my Trixie, feeding her everytime, play with her. I often go with her in malls. I usually bring her to pet places where she can bond and play with other dogs there. Aside from that I am fun of making poems, essays
about anything that comes to my mind and about Trixie of course.

My first experience with knowing that dogs know mortality was in 1996. When my Dad died I had Bandit. Bandit witnessed the collapse of my Dad. Mom remembers Bandit howling in the front yard when my Dad collapsed on the front porch of their vacation home..I don't remember that. However, I do know when I returned from the hospital, where I had ridden in the ambulance with Dad, I went into my bedroom there at the house where Bandit was. I got on the floor with him and told him "Grandpa's… Continue

Since I have BOTH, I wouldn't have it any other way. They have both given me joy beyond measure, with few aggravations. Dogs stay with you their entire lifetime, and kids grow up and move away to follow their dreams. this is the way it is meant to be. They both give love unconditionally. My vote, if you are lucky enough to have both, you are missing joy beyond belief, if you choose to just have dogs.

I am back to no bank account after going through three banks. This time I overdrew my account massively, and could not cover my overdraft. I created the overdraft paying bills I could not afford to pay. Now all of them have to wait. Chase closed out my account and put it into collections. That's ok. I will pay off the account to the collection agency.
In October I will be paying the few bills I can with money orders. Money Tree will cash my checks. By the way, I owe them, too. I will… Continue

13 months, 17 days and about 5 hours since we lost Mouta and my husband and I now smile and laugh when remembering her, rather than tearing up at the mere mention of her name(although there are still tears at times). She was such a GOOD dog, silly and fun and loved life and taught us so much.
Of course we have our favorite stories. One has to do with the a pizza round. We had one of those rising crust pizzas for dinner one night. Somehow, I'm not quite sure how, the round cardboard… Continue

I went to my doctor the other day. She gave me holy hell. I haven't been eating a lot, because I've been spending all my money on dog food. I lost six pounds in a month. My doctor says I'm setting myself up for an infection. Well, I hope not.
Ziva continues to be a wonder. She's worth her weight in gold. I need to start training her more. She's ready and I'm procrastinating.
Donovan is still the best dog I ever had. I yelled at him tonight, and had to apologize. He went… Continue

Whenever Ceili and I go visiting, she never, ever begs. She is a canine "Miss Manners"! But...at home she believes she has a legal right to half of each of my meals!
I don't keep in touch as much as I'd like, and have little computer skill. Hopefully I'll be more active in the near future.

I work for a rescue in Wyoming. We are not a facility that can keep dogs during the winter, as we rely mainly on foster homes and we publicize dogs that are surrendered or strays brought into a shelter that is not suitable for winter housing- especially of thin skinned dogs like Pit Bulls. Since April we have had 3 dogs of that breed or mixes of come into the shelter and we have not been able to find foster placement or adopters for them! They have had training, are neutered and up to date on… Continue

I was thinking about Rocky this morning, and someone sent me the link to the three chihuahuas who fought off the mountain lion - anyway, thought I'd share this piece I wrote last year when we lost her. When I think about her, it's like it happened yesterday. km
Rocky March 8 1997 – April 10 2008
Last night (April 12 2008) we created a shadow box to memorialize our eleven year old shepherd mix, Rocky. The box contains her collar, dog tags, some fur, a paw imprint, snout… Continue

Greetings! Unfortunately, most dogwalkers discover a danger, only sadly, when victimized and so I wanted to inform you of www.StreetZaps.com, a timely and useful tool intended to reduce the year-round risk of injury and fatality from contact voltage. And so you are aware, I confer with Con Edison's Stray Voltage and Public Affairs Units and was the first non-electrical representative to be invited to the Jodie Lane Fourth National Conference. It is my firm wish that I Remember Love will… Continue

Ziva and I went on the September field trip with all the other dogs. I'd say the thing she learned most was to stick with me no matter what. She didn't do the "up" like the other dogs, but then she hasn't learned that command yet.
We went through Wal-Mart from front to back and side to side. Cyndy led we followed. Ziva didn't even try to sniff the dog food when we went through that aisle. I think Ziva's best thing was walking down to the Wal-Mart and back. We went through a lot of… Continue

Our dog, Nick, who is thirteen years old, had a seizure today and we had to take him to the doctor. He also had lost control of his back legs. The doctor sedated him, ran tests, and is keeping him in the hospital tonight. I would appreciate all prayers for him------and for us.
Today is Wednesday, Sept. 16, and we had to put Nick to sleep today. He had more seizures and the vet said he could not get better. The Lord sent him to us in 1996, and now we have allowed him to return. We… Continue

I have to share this story. My Mom recently had knee replacement surgery. I was there for about 10 days, taking Nikita & AK with me. I brought her dog back home with me when she went to rehab. I was only home for about a week and a half before I went back, this time taking only her dog & AK (our cat). I was at her house taking care of her for nearly 2 weeks when she came home from rehab (she lives 2 hours away from us). My husband stayed home with our 3 dogs. When I returned home after… Continue
