I just adopted "Buddy" ....it's less than 2 weeks now! He is 6 mos. old, according to my Vet. He is a Jack Russell and Terrier mix.
About Me:
I sell Real Estate (part-time) now and my husband does the "physical stuff" . I fell a couple years ago and just found out that I am not going to get any better. I'll always limp with a cane....Yuk!
My husband, Art, doesn't care for Buddy so we are really creating Cold Wars daily! Jesse, our poodle (that we adopted when he was 6 years old) had to be put down in September. He was 17 years old and had accidents. Art said that he was finished with dogs forever and I got Buddy in spite of what he said. He also, said that it was bad enough that we now had a dog but did I have to get a puppy, Jack Russell mix, and needed housebreaking? Of course, I would have preferred otherwise but we have to take what we are given, I said to Art. So, I have Buddy now and I refuse to give him up! He has had two owners in one week PLUS his original owner....and that is enough!!! So, I may be a divorcee with 39 years of marriage under my belt!
What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
When he has had an accident and Art yells at him, (I try to keep them apart ) he looks at me with the saddest eyes I have ever seen! His eyes tell me not to ever yell at anyone nor be mean!
